Towns
San Michele Salantino
A town which is deceptive in size. It houses more car-dealerships than anywhere else in the area, including Porsche, BMW and Mercedes. There are a number of mini-marts, clothes shops, shoe shops, bakers, cheese shops, butchers, green-grocers, furniture shops and electrical shops, oh - and I can't forget the shops for the DIY enthusiast!

The town has a number of bars and restaurants. Try La Botte, a trattoria run by Andrea and his family. We eat here everytime we visit our home and have never been disappointed with our meals. For that special occasion you could try the infamous Torre San Giacomo for dining and dancing. You could also give La Fontanina a try. This is a hotel with a lovely restaurant surrounded by beautiful grounds. For an alternative night out, try Naxos. This serves pizza, pasta, chips, chicken nuggets etc. They have live bands on Tuesday evenings. They have a huge screen usually showing Italian football matches. The atmosphere is amazing. When the football has finished prepare yourself for Karaoke. This has no shortage of volunteers.
For other places to eat, try Al Torcheietto and Il Brigantino.
